If your application is not listed, please send us your specifications. We manufacture many unusual sizes, layouts and configurations that are not available as standard products on our website.

How Our Commercial Placard Service Works

1. Send your specifications. Provide the wording, quantity, dimensions, colors, material thickness and mounting requirements for each placard.
2. We review the project. We check the information provided and contact you if dimensions, wording, quantities or other specifications require clarification.
3. Receive your quote. Your quote will identify the products, setup or artwork charges, available production time and any applicable shipping charges.
4. Approve the digital proof. When included with the project, you will receive a consolidated PDF showing the proposed layouts and written specifications.
5. Production begins. We manufacture the order after receiving payment, all required information and written proof approval.

Send Us a Spreadsheet, Schedule or Drawing

For orders containing multiple placards, an organized spreadsheet is generally the fastest and most economical way to provide the required information. Include one row for each different placard and separate columns for quantity, width, height, first line, second line, color, mounting method and any special instructions.

We can review Excel, CSV, PDF, JPG, PNG, DXF and CorelDRAW files. Files may be emailed to customerservice@comforthouse.com after submitting our Request Custom Quote form. Include your name, company or quote-request number in the email subject line so we can match the files to your request.

For DXF artwork, please also provide a dimensioned PDF showing the intended appearance. Tell us whether the drawing uses inches or millimeters and include at least one known overall dimension. DXF drawings should be prepared at full size.

Files requiring extensive cleanup, conversion, tracing, corrections or individual layout work may incur an artwork or setup charge. We will advise you before beginning chargeable work.

Custom Sizes, Materials and Mounting Options

Placards can be manufactured in standard or custom dimensions using laminated acrylic plastic in a selection of background and engraved character colors. Available options depend on the size, application, material and quantity requested.

Please tell us where and how the placards will be used. Exposure to heat, sunlight, moisture, chemicals, cleaning products, vibration or an irregular mounting surface may affect the recommended material and mounting method.

Digital Proofs and Customer Approval

When a digital proof is included with the quoted project, the proof may show representative placard layouts together with a schedule listing the wording, dimensions and quantities for the complete order. Small placards may be enlarged on the proof to make them easier to review.

Colors displayed on a screen are approximate. Approval applies to the named material and color combination specified on the proof, not to an exact digital color match.

Please carefully review all spelling, wording, line breaks, dimensions, quantities, colors, mounting methods, hole locations and layouts. Production begins after we receive written approval. Changes requested after approval may require additional charges and may delay production.

Pricing and Volume Orders

Commercial orders are quoted according to quantity, finished dimensions, total material area, layout complexity, number of material and color combinations, mounting requirements and the amount of file preparation required. Volume pricing may be available when placards share common specifications and the information is submitted in an organized spreadsheet or schedule.

The maximum quantity included in a quote does not by itself determine the price. An order of many small, consistently formatted labels may require less production time and material than a smaller order containing large plates, multiple colors, individual hole locations or numerous custom layouts.

Additional charges may apply for file conversion, artwork cleanup, tracing, logos, symbols, unusual shapes, complex cutouts, individually positioned mounting holes, multiple proof revisions, sorting into separate installation groups or priority production.

Recurring OEM and Replacement Label Kits

Do you manufacture, restore or service equipment that repeatedly uses the same group of labels? Comfort House can produce recurring placard kits for specific machines, panels, vehicles, boats or equipment models. Once a layout has been approved, future orders may require changes only to serial numbers, ratings, customer names or other variable information.

Ask us about organizing the completed placards by machine, panel, equipment group or installation location. Saved specifications can reduce preparation time and make replacement or repeat orders easier.

Priority, Rush and Emergency Production

Missing a placard needed for an inspection, installation, repair or scheduled equipment delivery? Priority production may be available for suitable projects. Same-day or next-business-day production is subject to material availability, current production capacity, artwork readiness and the requested completion time. A rush charge applies in addition to product, artwork and shipping charges.

Rush production is not guaranteed until Comfort House has reviewed the complete specifications and confirmed availability in writing. Production time begins after all required information, payment and proof approval have been received. Shipping and carrier delivery times are separate and cannot be guaranteed by Comfort House.
