Life Ring Buoy USCG Approved 20" Ring
Safety first on the open water, around your swimming pool or at your lakeside retreat is a must.
When you need to save a life, every second counts and this life ring allows you to offer immediate assistance to the struggling swimmer.
This circular flotation device offers someone a way to keep their head above water while freeing up your hands to guide the person to a pool’s edge or swim platform without worrying they will go back under water.
US Coast Guard Regulations require any boat 16 feet and longer (except canoes and kayaks) to carry at least one throw-able (Type IV) flotation device. The throw-able device must be immediately available for use. It should be on the main deck within arm’s reach, hanging on a lifeline, life ring hanger hook, or other easily reached location.
Our 20" commercial ring buoy type IV personal flotation device is a USCG approved throw-able device for all vessels and around any swimming pool or body of water. The integral attached cord around the edges is an assist in holding on to the ring.
Polystyrene foam buoyant material provides a minimum buoyant force of 16.5 lbs.
US Coast Guard approval number 160.050/48/2. Marine UL listed.
This device is also known as a lifebuoy, lifering, lifesaver, life donut, life preserver or lifebelt, a "kisby ring" or "perry buoy".
