Custom metal plaques and signs from Comfort House display address numbers, house and building names, wayfinding, in dedication of or in honor of, donor recognition, and more. Our plaques are used at homes, historic places, churches and synagogues, parks, hotels, schools, government agencies, and countless other locations.
When you order from this page you will receive a custom cast aluminum metal plaque, with bronze/gold tone or aluminum/silver characters and border, and leatherette texture black or bronze background. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Made in USA.
The price shown is based on either a text only plaque in one of the listed fonts (other fonts are available, just ask us) or based on your supplying vector based art in one of the following formats: .ai, .eps, .cdr, .fs, .pdf, .dxf, .plt.
Upon submission of an order where you are supplying a file, send your order # and artwork to customerservice@comforthouse.com; in some instances, we may have to ask you to revise your artwork or have us do so at additional cost.
If your plaque is other than text based, and you don't have artwork, artwork preparation or enhancements can be done for you at additional cost.
On this page we allow ordering for the most commonly requested plaque sizes and number of text lines and line length. If you have a different requirement, please let us know by completing the Request Custom Quote link at top of this page on a desktop or in the menu bar of a mobile device.
Approximately 7 working days after submitting your order, a proof (also known as a mock-up) will be supplied for your approval or revision before production begins. Up to two proofs will be furnished at no additional charge ($50 per proof beyond two). After that, allow approximately 4 weeks production time.
If you have a more extensive requirement than shown here, use the Request Custom Quote link at top of this page or in the menu bar of a mobile device. Please note we can also make headstone plaques for pet memorials.
Other options available include: different letter styles, double line or bevel borders, ornamental borders, different background colors, ADA braille, different background textures, logos or emblems, photos, double sided (two sided), different materials (e.g. bronze), different production methods (e.g. precision tooled), and mounting methods. Plaques can be custom made as large or small as you wish. Some of the most common sizes are 6x6, 8x8, 12x6, 12x8, 12x12, 16x10, 18x10, 20x20, 24x14, 24x24, 30x30, 36x36, and 48x48. Also available as a round ground seal otherwise known as a floor inlay.
Mounting method recommendations:
Stud - For concealed mounting, recommended on brick or masonry.
Holes Through Surface - Supplied with either metal or wood screws depending on your mounting surface.
Toggle Bolts - Holes through surface with toggle bolts recommended for hollow tile, cement block, or drywall.
Machine Screws & Expansion Sleeves - Holes through surface with machine screws and sleeves recommended for brick, stone, or masonry.
Rosettes to cover surface holes are also available (please ask at time of order).
Hanging signs are also available as an option.

First small image from left above: These large 20x24 custom plaques were made for the September 29, 2018 opening of "The Jook," a fantastic outdoor music stage in downtown Hattiesburg, MS. A second plaque was made in dedication of the late Robin Wentworth. Second small image from left above accompanied review from James below. This was an 18x12 welcome to house plaque with address and established date. Plaque included lawn stakes and was completed November 2020.
Third and fourth small image from left above is of a multi house number plaque completed in September 2020. The size of the plaque is 14x12 and it was done in a modern font. Thank you to Jon in San Francisco for sending in the photos.
Fifth small image from left above (click on it to enlarge) is a special arch shape plaque, size 14x10, with an address and cross on it, completed in January 2021.
